Full four-wheel alignment service at our auto repair shop means we make manufacturer specifications adjustments by a certified technician with a printout of your vehicle readings. Did you know you should have your alignment checked once every year, according to Tire Buyer?
Alignments are an essential part of car maintenance. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop auto shop that offers this service by having our own alignment machine.
At our auto shop, we install WORLD SOURCEONE® or ACDelco® batteries. They are maintenance-free, exact fit, exact performance, and OEM-style batteries. Two-year free replacement and eligible for roadside assistance. Did you know batteries are the #1 reason for roadside assistance calls, according to AAA?
Though we do not stock car batteries, our suppliers are able to quickly deliver from Sugar Land/Missouri City to our Southwest Houston location within 20 minutes.
Worn-out brake pads limit your ability to slow and stop your vehicle safely. Brake pads should be replaced when the friction material reaches minimum acceptable levels. Inspecting other car brake components is essential to avoid future brake problems. Our brake inspection process at our auto shop involves a full road test and physically measuring all four wheels' brake components.
Service Smart℠ clients have free brake inspections. Wouldn't it be nice to know you'll need brakes in 6 months to plan and budget your time and money instead of scrambling for a reservation when you hear the terrible grinding noise? Learn more about Service Smart℠ and see how easy and manageable car maintenance can really be.
Our auto repair shop provides a full range of car brake services to the surrounding Missouri City, Sugar Land, and Southwest Houston area.
Belts are responsible for running major vehicle systems, including air conditioning, charging, engine cooling, power steering, etc. Belts require proper tension to operate correctly, so additional system components like belt tensioners and pulleys must be replaced regularly. Did you know your belts should be replaced every 90,000 miles and inspected every 60,000 miles, according to the Gates Corporation? (Gates is one of the world’s largest original equipment manufacturers (OE) belts and metal parts).
Our trained technicians check your belt to see if it is due for service. Everyone drives differently so car maintenance will look different. We believe in personalized service at our auto repair shop.
Over time, odors (from bacteria, mold, spores, fungi, road grime, nicotine oils, and miscellaneous debris) can develop and accumulate on the evaporator core since it is located in a dark, damp environment. Humid air passing through the air conditioning evaporator core usually leaves condensation droplets on the core creating a moist environment promoting bacterial growth and odors.
With Houston's heat and humidity, this is a common occurrence. Those with allergies will particularly benefit from this service. Book your service visit at our SW Houston auto repair shop today.
Replacing your vehicle's filters regularly will help your vehicle run better and last longer. Refer to your owner's manual for your vehicle's specific filter change intervals and/or periodically have them inspected to see if they need replacement. Driving through dusty areas, e.g., construction zones, will require more frequent replacement. According to CarsDirect, "for each gallon of fuel burned, the engine uses up to 10,000 gallons of air"! Filter maintenance is critical to proper vehicle function.
Our auto repair shop inspects the filters before recommending them. This habit ensures our clients get the most out of their car maintenance services versus sticking to a generic schedule.
We provide a variety of fluid services to maintain effective vehicle systems. The cooling system flushes, transmission fluid services ranging from flushes to pan drops with filter changes to drain and fills, driveline services performing front and rear differential fluid flushes, brake fluid flushes, and power steering fluid flushes. Ask about our fuel system treatments, too.
Car fluid flushes are an essential part of vehicle maintenance. If you plan on keeping your vehicle long-term, have one of our certified professionals at our auto repair shop inspect your car fluids.
It's important to keep track of the last time you had your brake system flushed, your transmission fluid exchanged, and your engine coolant flushed. Service Smart helps clients of our SW Houston location keep track of their car maintenance.
Hoses are vital components of a vehicle. They act as the car's veins, circulating vital fluids, oils, vapors, and gases. Virtually every system of your car is equipped with them. The maintenance of specific hoses is crucial to avoid complete system failure. According to Consumer Reports, "hoses are the cooling system's weakest structural component...The upper radiator hose fails more often than any other hose."
If you have a long road trip coming up, our auto repair shop recommends having your hoses inspected between 500 to 1,000 miles before your departure and replaced if needed. Professional Auto Care offers a free post-repair inspection 500 miles after replacement to ensure all clamps are retightened.
The fuel/air induction system ensures the proper fuel and air ratio correct efficient combustion. Over time deposits build up that prevent the computer from attaining the most accurate readings. These deposits need to be cleaned out periodically for the vehicle to continue working within manufacturer specifications for smooth operation.
Our certified auto care professionals have been seeing more lack of maintenance problems arising from failure to maintain the induction system correctly. The vehicle computer relies on inputs from this system to make decisions to keep your vehicle running as intended.
Engine oil is critical for proper vehicle operation. Engine oil maintains engine lubrication, cools engine components, removes engine wear particles and sludge, improves gas mileage, and promotes longevity. A recent study by the Car Care Council of the Be Car Care Aware campaign stated that 22% of vehicles have low or dirty engine oil. When was your last oil change? Try us out and interview our shop with an oil change.
One of the cheapest forms of car insurance for vehicle reliability is having the oil changed periodically. When you visit a full-service auto repair shop, you're paying to have a certified person under your vehicle who could spot other items. Make the time to take your vehicle to a full-service auto care facility to take advantage of this versus the quick-lube options or if you're crunched for time, be sure to schedule a full automotive checkup later.
The timing belt ensures all the various parts of the engine are synchronized. The timing belt connects the crankshaft at the bottom of the engine to the camshafts at the top of the engine. The teeth on the belt and the crankshaft and camshaft sprockets ensure that the valves open and close at precisely the right times. The intake valve opens to allow fuel and air into the cylinder and closes as the mixture is compressed, then ignited, and the exhaust valve opens to allow the waste gasses out. Timing belts are lighter, quieter, and more fuel-efficient than metal timing chains but require replacement at manufacturer-recommended intervals. If the belt breaks when the engine is running, it is possible that valves can become stuck in the open position and become bent by contact with the piston. Fun fact: not all vehicles have a timing belt!
If your vehicle is equipped with a timing belt, be sure not to miss the service interval. Let the shop know how long you intend to keep your car, too, as this could save you money if you choose to forgo replacing the other hardware parts typically done at the same time. Call to speak with an ASE Certified Service Consultant about your vehicle. ASE Master Certified Technicians perform all our timing belt jobs at our auto repair shop.
Tires are expensive, but tire maintenance doesn't have to be! You can get the most life out of your tires through proper maintenance. We've seen many tires that need to be replaced, most of them only in that state because of neglect and lack of maintenance. Basic tire maintenance includes tire rotations, tire balancing, tire pressure checking, and yearly alignment checks. The State of Texas Vehicle Inspection requires tires to have a tread groove pattern depth of at least 2/32 of an inch when measured in a center tread groove.
Our SW Houston auto shop has three tire balancing machines and an on-site alignment machine so we can ensure our clients' tires are adequately maintained. Plus, we always check and correct your tire pressure whenever you visit our repair facility for any car maintenance or car mechanic services.
